Stephen Israel (SRV ’53)
I entered SRV in Second Grade and stayed through Sixth Grade (1947 through 1953). At SRV, my teachers; Mary Spiller, a visitor exchange teacher from Belgium, Betsy Gray, Wayne Higley, and Peg Nowell were role models that gave me a lifelong passion for the arts and sciences, the natural-and-built landscape and wildlife which all surrounded SRV.
