Admissions Process

Thank you for considering The School in Rose Valley.

Here, education begins with a child’s natural curiosity. We recognize that substantive learning occurs when children are actively engaged in making meaning from direct experiences. Our intimate, mixed-age classrooms and creekside campus are laboratories for the hands-on experimentation and authentic inquiry through which our students build knowledge.

The School in Rose Valley aims to attract and retain a diverse student body that reflects a range of backgrounds and experiences to create an environment to which everyone contributes and from which everyone benefits. A a student is considered for admission based upon multiple criteria including but not limited to:

  • commitment to completing the full program through 6th-grade graduation
  • educational philosophy match between the family and the school
  • social, emotional, physical, developmental, and academic readiness
  • group dynamics and balance

The School in Rose Valley admits students without regard to race, color, religious belief, ancestry, sex or national origin.
