An SRV alumna who attended from Preschool through Sixth Grade, and now the parent of two SRV students, Liia brings a deep personal connection to SRV and a strong commitment to child-centered, experiential learning.
Prior to stepping into her role as Director of Progressive Education, Liia served as Director of Auxiliary Programs from 2021-2026. In that role, she developed and expanded progressive programming across the school, including summer camp, after-school care, enrichment classes, vacation programs, and professional learning for staff. Her work has focused on translating SRV’s educational values into thoughtful, sustainable programs that encourage children’s curiosity, independence, creativity, and sense of belonging.
Before joining SRV, Liia served as Director of Marketing and Development for a children’s community mental health organization, where she led communications, fundraising, and community engagement. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Scripps College and will receive her Master of Education in Independent School Leadership at George Mason University in 2027.
She is honored to help carry forward the progressive educational tradition that has shaped generations of SRV students and continues to make the school such a joyful and distinctive place to learn.
