Primary Circle

Our Primary Circle: 1st & 2nd Grade Program

In SRV’s Primary Circle, 1st and 2nd graders embark on an exciting journey of exploration and growth within a supportive, child-centered environment. Our classrooms are designed to nurture each child’s individual strengths and interests while providing the structure and guidance needed to thrive. Small group instruction and personalized attention from teachers ensure that each student is challenged and supported as they develop into confident readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, artists, and more.

Our Approach to Learning:

Program Details:

Building Strong Foundations

In the Primary Circle, students deepen their understanding of foundational academic concepts while developing key social and emotional skills. Our curriculum includes opportunities for students to:

Social-Emotional Development: Our Primary Circle program places a strong emphasis on building social-emotional skills. Students learn to work collaboratively, resolve conflicts, and express their feelings in constructive ways. Our teachers provide consistent support as children practice empathy, respect, and responsibility within their classroom community.

A Day in the Primary Circle: A typical day for a Primary Circle student may include morning circle time, where they set intentions and connect with their peers, followed by engaging academic blocks in reading, writing, and math. Throughout the day, students have access to art, music, and physical education, allowing them to explore a range of interests and talents. Outdoor play and exploration are integral parts of the day, offering students the chance to move, interact, and learn in natural surroundings.
