Courtney Brown

Courtney earned her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from West Chester University. She began her career working as a preschool teacher and later supported children and families as a nanny. She has also gained valuable classroom experience as a long-term substitute teacher, further affirming her passion for working with young learners.

Her teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that education should nurture the whole child, supporting both their cognitive and emotional development. She sees the heart and mind as equally important and strives to create a classroom environment where curiosity, empathy, and creativity can flourish alongside academic growth. Through hands-on exploration, collaborative projects, and meaningful relationships, she encourages students to grow not only as learners, but as compassionate, curious, and confident individuals.

Courtney lives in the area with her husband Ray and their son, Wren, who is also a student at SRV. She loves being part of the school community both as a teacher and as a parent. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys thrifting, spending time with her family, getting lost in a good book, and exploring the outdoors.
