Danielle Mercurio

Danielle is delighted to be part of the teaching staff at The School in Rose Valley. She is passionate about progressive education and enjoys cultivating communities in which children’s curiosity leads the way. Prior to joining the SRV staff in 2022, Danielle gained valuable teaching experience in Watershed and Soundings, which are progressive learning programs housed within Radnor Middle School in Wayne, PA. She has experience teaching preschool through eighth grade students and feels right at home on SRV’s beautiful woodland campus, which offers the opportunity to interact with people of all ages and nature daily. Danielle is grateful for the opportunity to teach where her daughter, Frances, enthusiastically attends school. Danielle thoroughly enjoys collaborating with her creative colleagues to make meaningful connections and learning opportunities for the students in her care. Danielle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Development from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and a Masters degree in Elementary Education from Cabrini College. She is also a certified Yoga and Meditation instructor.  In her spare time, Danielle can be found playing games with her family, outside rewilding her family’s yard, reading, immersed in some creative endeavor, hiking, kayaking or practicing yoga and meditation.
