Ian Forrester

Ian graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Boston College before volunteering at the Kopila Valley Children’s Home and Elementary School in Nepal, where he discovered his passion for education and early childhood development. He spent much of his career in marketing, advertising, and sales, working with several global brands, but always felt a pull back toward education, desiring something more grounded and personally meaningful.

His opportunity arose when he and his family moved from Chicago to the Philadelphia area in late 2024 and he discovered SRV in his new backyard. He transitioned back into education in early 2025 and served as temporary Assistant Teacher in Middle Circle and a Dedicated Student Support person in Primary Circle.

Ian is now serving as the full time Building Substitute and he looks forward to getting to know all of the students and their families and contributing to this amazing community.

Ian and his wife, Cathryn, have two daughters, Charlotte and Isla. They also have a dog, Scout, and a cat named Atticus.
