Nora joined SRV in 2019 as a parent and became a staff member. With over 25 years of experience in arts and education, she holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Penn State University and a Master of Arts from Villanova University.
Prior to her role at SRV, Nora served as the Director of Theatre Programs at the National Constitution Center. During her time there, she developed award-winning programs for K-12 students, professional development workshops, and classroom resources focused on arts integration for teachers. She also established partnership programs with various Philadelphia theatres, including Philadelphia Young Playwrights. Nora taught Theatre Arts at Arcadia University for nearly a decade and has lectured at institutions such as Drexel, West Chester, Community College of Philadelphia (CCP), and the University of the Arts (UArts). Actively involved in Philadelphia’s professional theatre community, she works as a designer and producer. Nora is inspired by SRV’s progressive approach to education, believing that every day presents a new opportunity for learning, regardless of age. She views theatre education as essential for fostering self-confidence, imagination, empathy, and critical language and problem-solving skills. Nora loves collaborating with parents, students, and faculty. Outside of school, she enjoys hiking, rafting, kayaking, attending theatre performances with her family, and volunteering while exploring children’s literature for storytelling and cultural inclusion.
