The French program at SRV invites our children to experience language through joy, connection, and creativity. Rooted in Acquisition Driven Instruction Theory, students acquire language naturally, in the way they learned their mother tongue: through meaningful messages, not memorization.
In French class, you will find students singing, moving, acting out stories, and engaging with the language in ways that feel playful and authentic. We never stray from an opportunity to get outside, get cooking, or get theatrical!
Beyond learning language structures, the goal of our French program is to foster community. Students learn to listen, express themselves, and connect across cultures. By centering joy and communication, we’re growing lifelong learners who see language as a bridge, not a barrier.
