Laurie Sherman

Coordinator of Learning Support

Laurie joined SRV in 2024, bringing her background in supporting children with diverse learning needs to her role as Coordinator of Learning Support. With a B.A. in Communicative Disorders and an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology, Laurie began her career in early intervention, empowering families as a parent coach. Over time, she expanded her expertise to work with school-aged children as a clinical speech-language pathologist. Laurie is also a seasoned peer coach, consultant, and continuing education instructor.

Laurie is a certified Project ImPACT coach, is trained in the The 360 Thinking Executive Function Model, and has completed continuing education for sensory processing differences, memory and cognitive processing, play-based social learning, and reading development. At SRV, Laurie combines her clinical expertise, coaching experience, and deep love for teaching to design creative and effective educational strategies. She finds joy in helping children explore their potential and embraces the unique ways each student learns.

Outside of her professional life, Laurie is an avid hiker. She loves discovering the great outdoors with her husband and two children (both students at SRV), and their family dog.
