Melanie Lessin - The School in Rose Valley

Melanie holds a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education and an M.Ed. in Educational Foundations. In graduate school, she focused on incorporating more play into early childhood education classrooms. Melanie spent eight years teaching kindergarten and special education in Hawaii. Upon leaving Hawaii, she moved to Thailand, where she spent the last five years teaching preschool in Reggio Emilia-inspired and emergent play-based international schools. Melanie has a multi-generational history with SRV and a deep love of progressive education.
